Wirewright Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 24, 2026 Publisher: Startup Slang Inc. (“we”, “us”), Ontario, Canada Contact: [email protected]
Wirewright is an offline calculator app for electrical and HVAC work. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Wirewright mobile app on iOS or Android (“the App”).
Summary
- We do not collect, store or sell personal information.
- There are no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking SDKs.
- Your calculations, settings and saved history stay on your device.
- Subscriptions are processed by Apple, Google and RevenueCat, not by us.
Information stored on your device
The App saves your preferences (code standard, units, appearance), your Pro subscription status and any calculations you choose to save. This data is kept only in your device’s local app storage. It is never sent to us, and deleting the App removes it. PDF reports you export are created on your device and shared only where you choose to send them.
Purchases and subscriptions
If you buy Wirewright Pro, the payment is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own privacy policies. We never see or store your payment card details. To check whether a subscription is active, the App uses RevenueCat, Inc., a subscription management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID generated on your device, plus purchase and receipt information from Apple or Google (product, price, currency, purchase date, store country) and basic device data such as OS version and app version. RevenueCat processes this information on our behalf only to validate and manage subscriptions. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Support emails
If you contact us (for example with “Report an issue”), we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and fix problems, and we delete support correspondence when it is no longer needed.
Children
The App is a professional tool, is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live), and knowingly collects no information from children.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data from the App, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For subscription or support records, contact [email protected] and we will respond in line with applicable law, including Canada’s PIPEDA, the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA where they apply.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above will change, and significant changes will be noted in the App’s release notes.
